Passing of Bakhtiar Beig Mirza Bhai - 161-Attacker of 3rd Entry
In Loving Memory of Bakhtiar Beig Mirza Bhai (161-Attacker of 3rd Entry)
Dear Sargodhians, Assalaam o Alaykam,
It is with profound grief that we share the news of the passing of our cherished senior, Bakhtiar Beig Mirza Bhai (161-Attacker of 3rd entry). Bakhtiar Bhai left us for his heavenly abode last night in Montreal, Canada, after a prolonged illness. Inna lillahe wa inna elayhe rajeoon. May Allah grant him maghfirat and an exalted place in Jannat, Aameen.
Bakhtiar Bhai’s journey with Sargodha School began in October 1955. From the outset, he was known for his humility, kindness, and a deep-seated passion for the Sargodhian spirit. His selfless and sincere nature made him a beloved figure within the community, and his efforts to foster connections among Sargodhians, particularly in North America, were truly pioneering. He played a significant role in establishing the association of Sargodhian old boys in North America, helping to keep the spirit and camaraderie of our alma mater alive far beyond its walls.
Bakhtiar Bhai was also renowned for his meticulous record-keeping of Sargodhians, as well as his extensive collection of old photographs and college memorabilia. These efforts have preserved the rich history and spirit of our school, and his legacy in this regard is unmatched.
Despite his advancing age and declining health, Bakhtiar Bhai remained deeply involved with the Sargodhian community, attending reunions and connecting with Sargodhians of all generations. His amiable personality and ability to bond with people of all ages earned him the affectionate title of "Bapu," a testament to the deep respect and love he inspired.
Bakhtiar Bhai's unwavering commitment to the Sargodhian bond was evident through his active participation in gatherings of old boys, both in North America and Pakistan. He was a prominent figure at the Golden Jubilee SOBA reunion in Sargodha in October 2003, where his presence was deeply felt.
As we bid farewell to our beloved senior, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Bakhtiar Bhai’s family during this difficult time. We pray for their solace and strength. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire Sargodhians for years to come.
